Our 4th was uneventful. This is very typical unless the holiday falls on a weekend & we make the trek up north. SK's family loves this holiday & celebrates by decorating an old Christmas tree with fireworks & gasoline. Someone lights a match & we become thankful for our freedoms. Yep, Christmas & gasoline that's how they roll. But until then, here's much safer July 4th photo montage of how we spent our day.
:Yummy waffles with even yummier syrup:
:Could there be anything more American? I guess we could've dressed Gus as Uncle Sam.:
:Block 4 is ready to be seamed & attached:
:Light an unused Sparkler, G-Rocks are done:
Pup loves these socks as much as I do. I love the yarn. I love the color. I love the fit! I love that they're done. I really love that I used all but 5 grams of the yarn! There's nothing that I don't love about 'em. Once fall hits, these are going to be tatooed on my feet.
The very Rockin' gals over at JenLa nominated us for a Rockin' Girl Blog! Later today, I'm going to break everything in our living room & scour the streets for some groupies (Who doesn't want to bang a pregnant chick?). A very rockin' afternoon indeed. Here's who Ava & I nominated as some equally Rockin' Girl Bloggers:
BitterSweet: She could make Ava a vegan and lovin' her crocheted foods!
Through the Loops: What's not to love about twins/teenagers! The patterns she makes are pretty rockin' as well
Green Apples: Ava envies how fast she knits and how everything turns out nicely (something of a rarity for Ava).
Moonstitches: Have you seen the hexagons? Enough said.
No More Sweaters: Love those links! It's like she does all the heavy lifting!
Go on & nominate your favorites! Wonder what's in the gift bag? Think we have to pay the taxes on it?
-Lola
Thanks!

Awwww, thanks for the nomination! I was in Mexico when you posted this! I'm only just now catching up on my blog reading. (Could the delay be the Ravelry invitation that came while I was away? I've hardly come up for air since!!)
