Not sure if this even constitutes a "Fiberlicious Friday" post, but here is my lame attempt at it. Amazing what a new toy will inspire one to do. I took one quick photo of the Flyer last night, but I plan on figuring out how to do self portraits of the two of us; seventeen plus years of them seems too long to throw away simply because of a new camera.
The Handmaiden SeaSilk is truly a yarn to die for . . . but I don't know what to do with it. Lola suggested the scarf from the summer issue of Interweave Knits so that is a possibility. Any other suggestions? I have one hank in the Rose Garden colorway.
Hydrangeas are my favorite flower and, ironically enough, there are three mature bushes on our property. None of this is due to my gardening skills (nothing going on in these thumbs except ineptitude), but the one in the back yard is blooming in all its goodness. I couldn't resist using the macro function on it. Humor me, people . . . I promise there will be photos of knits coming soon (as soon as those sock blockers get here).

Ummmmmmmmm...............I think that the sea silk really should be sent to me. You know. Just because. Seeing how much I love pink and all.
LOL.
I've always thought that the "my so called scarf" would be an awesome thing to make with something as luscious as some seasilk myself. It's in Ravelry, so you could totally go and

OOPS! let me finish that comment, there!
....so you could totally go and look at, like, a million versions of it before you decided if you liked it or not.
(see what happens when I stop to drink some coffee & forget 5 seconds later what I had & hadn't yet typed???)
:)

I forgot to mention, when you said you picked this up (and in my fave colorway, no less)- you could try that circle-y lace shawl in Wrap Style (and no, I have no idea what the name is, but it's in a light color, modeled by the redhead), if you have a 150g hank (I think the 100 might be a tad small, but I'm sure you could figure out a way to alter the pattern). Is there nothing in Vic Lace Today that is small enough?

I've yet to hear a bad word or even an iffy word about that Handmaiden Sea silk. I'm hoping to get a new camera soon myself, but nothing as fancy as yours. That will have to come sometime down the road.
And don't you have two sock blockers at the end of your legs? ;)

That yarn is gorgeous - as are the photos with your new toy!

I just began the Montego Bay scarf in the Seasilk and am really liking the drape and feel of the fabric. An easy knit that will show off the yarn's loveliness, I think.
