I wasn't planning on posting until after the family leaves, but this had to be written about! I finished my Baby Camel NYC shawl earlier this week. But the real magic happened during the blocking phase. I realize that statement rings true for all lace projects, but I believe that this one is different. The yarn transformed with a good wash. It may be the softest thing I've ever held! All three threads seemed to melt into each other to form this plush wrap. I'm not a huge fan of triangle shawls, and I kept thinking this the entire time I was knitting it. I had forgotten why I choose this project until this morning. Once I touched it, all those feelings came rushing back. I strongly urge anyone to give Baby Camel a try. It would make a wonderful baby blanket, hat, anything next to the skin. I'll try to have Ava take better pictures once she arrives, and give it proper post next week.
Off to finish scrubbing the house. Have a great weekend!
